MON,JAN 11-AWAY
@
Charlotte Hornets
Loss- I expect the new look Hornets to play well. LaMelo and Gordon Hayward should provide a formidable duo of a slash and pass to find Hayward for plenty of 3's should he be healthy this far into the season.
WED,JAN 13-HOME
VS
Brooklyn Nets
Loss- Same as stated above. Should KD and Kyrie remain healthy this should be a rude awakening to the Knicks and hopefully a kick in the pants to want to reclaim all the boroughs as Knicks territory.
FRI,JAN 15-AWAY
@
Cleveland Cavaliers
Win- They're still not good. By this time I think our rotation should be getting formed and guys will start to learn how to play with each other. Beating teams they are on similar pre season "bottom of the league" lists
SUN,JAN 17-AWAY
@
Boston Celtics
Loss- Without Gordon Hayward, Tatum and Brown take big leaps forward this season and keep the Celtics toward the top of the East. Kemba should be back by now after missing time due to stem cell injections as well. It'll be a good game but the C's win.
MON,JAN 18-HOME
VS
Orlando Magic
Win- Cole Anthony and Aaron Gordon might be fun to watch but ultimately not a team that should beat the Knicks. Don't forget that our coaching staff is (on paper) one of the best in the league.
THU,JAN 21-AWAY
@
Golden State Warriors
Loss-Steph can still hit 35ft 3's. Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins are also both still on this team. Nico Mannion and James Wiseman should be fun to watch in this game as well.
FRI,JAN 22-AWAY
@
Sacramento Kings
Loss- Perhaps a Buddy Hield audition to make the Knicks mouth water... if he is still on the team by this point. There has been discussions of him coming off the bench which he DOES NOT like. Could get contentious real quick
SUN,JAN 24-AWAY
@
Portland Trail Blazers
Loss- Melo finally comfortable coming off the bench to keep the pressure on the defense to stop his (and the second team's) scoring will lead to Dame and CJ being able to
TUE,JAN 26-AWAY
@
Utah Jazz
Loss- Spider is still Spider. And who knows, maybe Rudy Gobert will give the whole league COVID again.
FRI,JAN 29-HOME
VS
Cleveland Cavaliers
Loss- Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once and a while.
The season is going to be more about growth than wins. In these 10 games the Knicks have 2 wins and 8 losses added to the 4-6 record I have projected from the first 10 games brings the Knicks to a tough 6-14. Sign up for the mailing list for notifications on new posts and breaking news.
